Nice Manners

Every day Lily does or says something and I think, "I never want to forget that." Of course, with the way my brain works (or doesn't work) most days I forget whatever it was before Tony gets home from work! I thought I better get this down on 'paper' before I forget...

Bear, Mommy said it's important to always say Please and Thank You.

Yesterday, Lily and I were at the store and she was helping me unload our basket on to the little conveyor belt. Lily absolutely loves to do this! Anyway, the cashier was as nice as can be and said "Thank You!" after each item Lily put on the belt. The cashier was using that sweet sing songy voice we grown ups use when talking to the pint size population. After Lily put the last item on the belt and the cashier said, "Thank You" for the tenth time...Lily looked right at the cashier....and using the same sweet sing songy voice said, "Nice manners!" I'm not sure who laughed harder...me or the cashier! Honestly, we both had tears running down our cheeks and poor Lily was looking back and forth between the two of us like we were crazy!
