...makes Lily a happy girl...and Mommy and Daddy, too! We had a great long weekend and did not one productive thing....we just played, played, played!
Tony's office was closed on Friday to give everyone some much needed R & R after tax season. I actually cooked breakfast...which happens even less frequently then I cook dinner! Then we spent the morning together at the playground to burn off all the pancakes and strawberries. In the afternoon we walked to the state park and played at the recycled tire playground. The weather was perfect and the three of us were happy, tired, and more than a little dirty by the end of the day! We need more days like that. I'm sure every family does!
Saturday was Sadie's Sweet 16 birthday and confirmation party. Sadie's actual birthday is this Thursday but her confirmation was Saturday. Patti's house was filled with people, food, and fun! We couldn't have had nicer weather and we spent the entire afternoon with family and friends. Lily had a great time playing with all her cousins...especially the birthday girl!
Sunday was another fun and busy day. We had breakfast with Dad Dad as usual and then spent the afternoon celebrating our Family Day with a family from our travel group. Jim, Wendy, and their kids were in the "delivery room" with us and were united with Amanda the same day we were united with Lily. We have celebrated numerous occasions with them over the last year and look forward to celebrating many more.
