Am I 5 Now?

Since we were away on vacation for Lily's 4th birthday we weren't able to celebrate with Nai Nai and Aunt Sheila. No worries. We made up for that by having a mini birthday celebration on Friday night.

Lily was thrilled to have the opportunity to celebrate her birthday again and very seriously asked, "Am I 5 now?" The tiniest bit of disappointment about not actually being 5 was quickly wiped away by the opportunity to eat guitar cake with Nai Nai and Aunt Sheila.



If you're thinking "guitar cake?" wasn't that last year's cake? You're right. Lily asked for a guitar cake again this year.

I could lie and tell you it was easier to make the second time around, but a cake decorator I am not! Oh well. If Lily asks for a guitar cake again next year maybe I'll actually be able to get all 6 strings on it...but somehow...I doubt it.





While the cakes look pretty much the same from year to year...look how much older Lily looks. Wow! What a difference a year makes!!
