So, here we go....
The other day Lily and I were in Lowe's buying a few flowers to replace a few of the flowers that were completely fried while we were on vacation. While we were in the garden area I mentioned to Lily that I needed to use the bathroom. Lily asked me where the bathrooms were and I told her I didn't know. She told me not to worry that she would ask somebody that worked there. :-)
My self-assured little girl walked right up to one of the employees and said, "Excuse me. My mother is not familiar with this store. Can you tell me where the bathroom is?"
Oh, if you could have seen the look on that man's face. It was priceless!! He looked at Lily (while trying hard to stifle a laugh) and said, "Your mother's not familiar with this store?" To which Lily replied most seriously, "No sir, she's not. Can you tell me where the bathroom is? My mother *really* needs to go potty so she can focus on what flowers we want to buy."
I think the poor guy just about burst something trying not to laugh. As we walked away to find the bathroom, the man quietly said to me, "Wow! You are one lucky mommy." I wholeheartedly agree!!
