We're Heading To China!

Today at 12:30 pm we have a direct flight from Dulles to Beijing. It will be about a 13 1/2 hour flight. I sure do hope I sleep most of it!!

Here's a quick run down of our itinerary:

• 4/11 - Arrive in Beijing
• 4/12 - Visit Tian'anmen Square and the Forbidden City
• 4/13 - Visit The Summer Palace and the Temple of Heaven
• 4/14 - Visit The Great Wall (and see just how out of shape we are) and got to a Chinese Acrobatic Show in the evening.
• 4/15 - Ride a rickshaw to visit Hutton's, climb the Dram Tower, visit a local kindergarten, and have lunch with a local family. In the afternoon we will fly to Wuhan
• 4/16 - MEET LILY!!! The 16th...the magic day when we finally get to hold our sweet daughter!
• 4/17 - Rest and get to know our little sweetie!
• 4/18 - Tour Yellow Crane Tower and the Changjiang River Bridge.
• 4/19 - Visit Lily's orphanage
• 4/20 - Visit provincial museum and tour Dong Hu Lake
• 4/21 - Fly to Guangzhou and go directly to Lily's medical appointment
• 4/22 - Another rest day. Thank God! I'm just exhausted from typing this itinerary!
• 4/23 - Paperwork and fees are submitted to the US Consulate
• 4/24 - Go to US Consulate for ceremony and then fly back to Beijing
• 4/25 - The 3 of us head home...sweet...home!

This is really happening...only one month and one day after receiving Lily's referral....we're going to China...and we're going to be parents!!!
