Tony and I are running around in circles and are having the time of our lives. Yes, we are stressed but it is such a happy stress...if that makes sense. We can't believe this is finally really happening. We are going to China to bring our sweet Lily home...only one month and a day after receiving her referral!!! That kind of turn around is pretty much unheard of in the adoption world. After waiting so long it seems funny to feel rushed...but it is all good. In fact, it's not good...it's more than GREAT!!
In case you are wondering...no, the Master Bathroom is not finished. In fact, the tile we ordered isn't due in until next week. Yikes! Oh well, I think what is happening is called Real Life. Normally, I tend to want everything "perfect" and I breathe easier when my life is neat and orderly and everything is at right angles. Somehow I think from now on this is the new normal. That will work for me...I can adjust...bring it on!
Speaking of home repairs we had a small leak in a water pipe in the basement. Thank God the leak was in the Laundry Room and not in the finished part of the basement! Dad and Tony fixed the problem yesterday and we should be good to go. I tell you with the Master Bathroom leak and now this leak....I'm just hoping that not all things come in threes! But as I like to say...the only good thing about a small old house....is the mortgage payment!! Honestly, we really do love our little house....just some days this house is a little harder to love than others.
We have finally moved the toilet from the middle of Lily's room....so much for that early potty training! My nephew, Jamie, and his friend, Ryan, came over and helped assemble Lily's furniture. The instructions mentioned something about how easy the assembly was that even a pregnant woman could do it alone.
