TRAVEL APPROVAL!!!!!

Oh my goodness....we received Travel Approval this afternoon!!! Doesn't it just figure this is the one day Tony forgets his cell phone. That never happens...and when I tried him at the office he wasn't there! I had to work this evening and wasn't able to tell him the wonderful news until I got home. When I arrived home one of our neighbors had stopped by with their kids. It was great to see them...but...I really was about ready to burst. Our neighbors had barely made it out the door when I started doing the Snoopy Dance!

Wait......the news gets even better! Our agency is trying to get us an appointment with the US Consulate for April 23, 24, or 25. That would mean...WE WOULD LEAVE FOR CHINA NEXT WEEK!!!! Sorry to yell at you...but...next week...can it be true?!? Could we be less than 2 weeks away from holding our sweet Lily? I can't begin to imagine......

Okay, I really am trying to remain calm. If we don't get a Consulate Appointment (CA) on April 23, 24, or 25, we probably will not get a CA until the week of May 7th because of the International Labor Day Holiday in China. Boo Hiss! We should have a definite CA by Thursday or Friday of this week.

April 23rd is my Parent's Wedding Anniversary. It would have been 47 years! It's also my sister and brother-in-law, Mary Beth and Ed's, 24th Wedding Anniversary. So, needless to say the 23rd is already a very special day in our family. The 24th is also a special day...it's Sadie's 15th birthday. Could we have another reason to celebrate on the 23rd or the 24th?? We only have a few more days to find out.

Are we packed and ready??? Heck no! Do I care? NO! Let's just go and bring our sweet Lily home. The rest of the "stuff" is really just incidental!
