Lily Loves Disco

I am the Outings Coordinator for the Stay At Home Parents group I belong to. Really, it's the perfect "job" for a stay-at-home mom who doesn't like to stay at home!

When I was looking for outings for the month of September and came upon Baby Loves Disco I just couldn't resist. Lily loves music and Tony loves to dance...it sounded like the perfect fit. So today Tony, Lily, and I headed downtown and sure enough...Lily loves disco...and so do her mom and dad!

Basically, the event is exactly what the name says it is. A disco setup for little people. There is a DJ playing classic disco music from the 70s and 80s. On the dance floor there are bubble machines, egg shakers, tambourines, colorful scarves, and hula hoops for the little ones and their grown up friends to use.

Dancing wasn't the only fun thing happening at Baby Loves Disco. There was also a woman making amazing balloon creations, a toddler tattoo station, tons of healthy snacks, juice boxes, and the bar was open for those adults who can only dance if you add alcohol.

On the second floor there was also a "chill out" area with children's activity carpets, over sized pillows, board books, stuffed animals, puzzles, and games. It was a great place for the kids to be able to have a little down time and recharge their batteries so they could be ready to hit the dance floor for the Hustle.

I'm not sure who had more fun today...Lily, me, or Tony! I wish I had brought our video camera. The few still pictures I took don't do our day at the disco any justice!
