Green Apple, Sour. Red Apple, Sweet.

How many shoes are on my feet?
How many feet are in my shoe?
What it the first thing I must do?

These are lines from, Carry Me!, a children's book by Rosemary Wells. We recently checked this book out from the library. I didn't realize Lily had memorized part of the book until we went to a local farm today to pick some apples. Each time Lily picked an apple she said, "Green apple, sour. Red apple, sweet. How many shoes are on my feet......" That girl cracks me up!

While we were at the farm we also picked peaches and blackberries. Apparently, Lily doesn't have any lines memorized for fruits other than apples. We'll have to work on that next time we're at the library!

It must be time for apples. Speaking of time...did you notice I'm wearing one of Mommy's watches?

Picking blackberries is messy business...but I LOVED it!

Despite all the funny faces I ate a TON of blackberries!

Let me tell you...picking fruit is exhausting work. I even fell asleep on the way home!
