Today it snowed for the first time since we've been home from China and Lily absolutely LOVED it! I saw online last night that they were calling for 1 - 2 inches of snow today and assumed the prediction was probably wrong. Turns out I was right. We have about 4 inches on the ground right now and it's still snowing!
When we first went outside this morning Lily had a really funny look on her face and kept saying, "Rain?, Rain?". I told Lily it wasn't rain but snow and after a little while she started to say, "Sssno, Sssno" with a little giggle in her voice. Lily could have stayed outside all day and was less than happy when we came inside.
This evening before we had dinner Lily stood at the front door and said, "Owside, Owside". We thought...why not...and bundled Lily up and out we went. She had a blast! Lily decided it would be a lot of fun to pile snow into her Daddy's ungloved hands. Tony was a trooper and made snowballs from the snow Lily brought him.
Being Mother-of-the-year I hadn't bought snow boots for Lily yet. The poor little thing was outside in only her sneakers. Lily didn't seem to mind and her Daddy went out tonight and bought her snow boots and a toddler toboggan. Tomorrow will be a blast!

Hey TJ-
I'm one of those far away people that you haven't seen in years that checks in on your blog all the time! Patti sent me the link a while ago (before you got Lily). I love seeing Lily and reading how you're doing!
I think it's a great baby book. Feel free to drop me an email sometime if you'd like.
