Teddy Bear Picnics And Bathing Suit Ballet

I'm telling you, this end of the school year stuff is F.U.N.

When Lily came home from the Summer Birthday Party on Tuesday she was bursting with exciting things to share. Not only had she made a birthday crown, eaten cupcakes, and received a sand bucket filled with goodies, she also had a special inivitation for Kentucky Bear.

Kentucky Bear is by far Lily's favorite Teddy Bear. Tony brought Lily this bear 2 years ago when he went on a business trip to...you guessed it...Kentucky.

Truth be told, Lily is not a huge fan of stuffed animals. However, if she had to pick one it would be Kentucky Bear. Hands down.

Lily was very sweet when she gave the invitation to Kentucky Bear. Apparently, Kentucky was a little nervous about going to school, but Lily assured him that she would be with him the entire time and then all was right with the world.

Lily was beyond excited Thursday when it was time to bring Kentucky to school. It was so cute to see all the children walking into school carrying their favorite little friends.

The children prepared a picnic lunch for themselves and their furry friends. The lunch consisted of: honey sandwiches (of course!), hollow logs with ants (celery and raisins), and bear paws (a graham cracker with cream cheese, ginger snap in the center, and 3 chocolate chips for toes).

As if the Summer Birthday Party and the Teddy Bear Picnic weren't enough to make this a great week...today was Lily's last ballet class. Okay, that's not the great part. The great part was that the last ballet class was a "Beach Party" class and the children wore their bathing suits. Lily had a wonderful time!

It's going to be hard to top this week.
