Poor Miss Joan gets more than she bargains for when she tells me to kick!
2020 Olympics....here I come! One of my favorite things about being Lily's mother are those special "Mommy Moments" that happen every day. Lily will say or do something and I find myself close to tears. Here are a few examples:
- When Tony comes home from work Lily runs up to him and gives him a great big hug.
- When Lily pushes mine and Tony's face together so she can try and kiss us both at the same time.
- After Lily wakes up from her nap and she is so warm and so, so snuggley.
- When Tony reads to Lily at night she sits on my lap in the rocking chair and Tony sits on the floor beside us. While Tony is reading Lily reaches down and plays with his hair so gently.
- When you take Lily's shoes and socks off she kisses each of her feet with a loud "Mmmwaa" like she is seeing long lost friends.
- When Lily wakes up in the morning it looks like a family of squirrels have made a nest in her hair. Honestly, there are literally no two strands headed in the same direction. So cute!
- Watching Lily share kisses and hugs with her extended family.
- Every day Lily is learning new words and signs. In the last several days she has started to sign "love"...major goosebumps!
There are countless other examples that happen every day...it's part of what makes being Lily's Mommy so much fun!

Mommy's old high school sent me this cute bib!
Excuse me, I have to take this important call on the jelly phone.

T.J., these are the moments every mother treasures up in her heart for each of her children. Your Mom did the same with you. Enjoy them now, keep them forever, and trot them out to remember when Lily is a rebellious teen! (Really, could your daughter be any cuter? Don't think so!)
