The wording of the Resolution was lovely and also mentioned Dad's many years of service to the community.
Normally, Dad is not comfortable in the limelight. In fact, I would describe him as the opposite of attention seeking. Be that as it may, tonight Dad was positively beaming!

I'm sure part of what added to Dad's joy were the many, many friends that came out to celebrate with him.

Thanks Don for organizing this evening. It was so nice to see Dad be recognized publicly for what we already know...he is one special man!

Yes we all know, Donald is a very
special man. Love the pictures and the smile on his face.
Your dad looks like he so enjoyed his night of being honored. So handsome and dignified. It's a good thing there is a secret moral code about sisters and their better halves! :) Just kidding TJ.
Aunt Paula
Hello Aunts!
Wouldn't Mom have just loved last night?!? Dad looked (is) so handsome. He truly was beaming!
Oh, and Aunt Paula...moral code?? What moral code???
You bettter talk to Patti because she has dibs on Ed if, God forbid, something ever happens to Mary Beth.
Love to you both.

It's not like I'm wishing for bad things to happen to MB, I'm just saying, if they do.....

I am so disappointed I won't be able to be at the parade - we're having a little family gathering for Cassidy's birthday which is the 13th - but I think Uncle Don deserves all the accolades he may get. Please congratulate him for me and enjoy being the Grand Marshal's kids and grandkids at the parade! Cousin Eileen
Eileen,
I will pass along your congratulations to Dad.
Hope Cassidy has a wonderful day!
