That Kangaroo Is Bigger Than Dad Dad!

This morning as I was getting breakfast ready I looked out the kitchen window and there was a HUGE deer in our backyard. We have occasionally had deer in our backyard but this fellow was by far the biggest I've ever seen.

I grabbed one of our dining room chairs and had Lily stand on it so she could look outside and see our early morning visitor. The first thing she said when she looked outside was, "Mommy, that kangaroo is bigger than Dad Dad!" I laughed right out loud and then said, "Kangaroo?" To which Lily quickly said, "Kangaroo??? I meant to say moose!"

Kangaroo?? Moose?? I think it's a good thing Lily and I have been going to these great little "Nature Sprouts" programs at our local state park. The programs are geared for kids 3 - 5 and Lily really enjoys them. Obviously, I need to check the calendar and see if they're doing a program on white-tail deer...soon!
