Tie Dye Snow

I never thought I'd say this as an adult...but...I LOVE snow days! Actually, I love snow days much more than Lily!!

In fact, today when I talked to Lily about going outside to play she said, "We just played in the snow yesterday. Do we have to play in it again today???"

I'm not really sure what the issue is. When Lily is actually out playing in the snow she has a wonderful time. It's just getting her out there that can be a bit of a challenge!

Yesterday we had one of Lily's little friends over to play in the snow with us.

I read somewhere about putting food dye and water in spray bottles and letting your kids "spray paint" the snow. So, I thought what the heck?!? Lily and I made up a few bottles for she and B to play with.

Lily and B had a blast...and our yard looks terrific...colorful...and terrific!!!

Sha-woo...all that spray painting is hard work!

Oh, and Daddy had a little fun, too. If you can't quite make out what it says it reads, "Go Seahawks".

Today, Lily and I made a little snowman. Lily's original plan was to make a tie dye snowman. However, when push came to shove she just couldn't bring herself to spray paint her new little friend.

Lily then asked if we could pour out some of the spray bottles around the snowman so he could look like he was floating in a colorful puddle?

I guess you can tell what my answer was!
